Rameswar Sporting win Lalmani cricket tournament

Rameswar Sporting (Bhubaneswar) defeated Jobra Solar Club (Cuttack) in the final to win the silver jubilee edition of the Lalmani Memorial All-India Cricket Tournament at Gandhi ground in Sonepur today. The tournament was played in an unusual format, featuring T-20 and T-10 matches.

In the final, Jobra Solar beat Rameswar Sporting by 68 runs in the T-20 match, while Rameswar Sporting defeated Jobra Solar in the T-10 match by seven wickets. Rameswar Sporting eventually won the title, getting the better of their opponents in the super-overs.

The champion side bagged the top prize of Rs 40,000, while the runners-up took home Rs 24,000. Tanmaya Mohanty (Solar) was adjudged the man of the final as well as the man of the final match, while Purna Chandra Moharana (Rameswar) finished as the best batsman.
